Life Compass is operated by Benjamin Richter. This policy covers the offline Life Compass iPhone and iPad app and its public informational website. Contact benjirichter53@gmail.com with privacy questions.
Your plans stay on your device
The app stores your daily focus notes, tasks, life-area selections, completion status, and reflections locally on your device. It does not require an account or send your planning content to us. This version has no analytics, advertising, tracking, AI processing, or cloud synchronization. It does not request your contacts, calendar, microphone, camera, or location.
Your device’s settings may include app data in backups managed by Apple or by you. Those backups are separate from Life Compass and subject to the backup provider’s policies. We cannot access or recover your local plans.
Exports and links you choose
Export my plans creates a JSON file in the location you select using the system file picker. The file contains your saved dates, focus notes, tasks, completion status, life areas, and reflections. If you save or share it through another provider or app, that destination receives the exported information under its own policies.
Support and policy links open in your browser. Email support opens your email app; no message is sent automatically.
Website visits and support
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Requests may include an IP address, browser information, requested URL, and technical or security logs needed to deliver and protect the site. It contains no third-party advertising or analytics scripts.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the content you choose to send. We use it to answer your request, investigate issues, and meet applicable legal obligations. Email providers process correspondence as part of delivery and storage. Avoid sending sensitive planning content unless it is necessary to explain your request.
We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or track you across apps or websites. Information may be disclosed when required by law or needed to protect people’s rights and the security of the service.
Retention and deletion
Local plans remain until you delete them or remove the app’s data. Delete individual tasks in the daily plan, swipe a day in Journal to delete that day, or use Settings → Delete all plans. Removing the app normally removes its local app data; offloading an app may retain it. Backups and previously exported copies are managed separately and are not erased by the app’s delete controls.
Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests and maintain relevant support records, subject to legal or security obligations. Website logs are retained under the host’s applicable operational and security settings. Contact us about any information we hold; we will explain its retention or deletion as it applies to your request.
Your choices and rights
You control what you enter into the app and whether to export it. To request access, correction, or deletion of support correspondence or other information held by us, email benjirichter53@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to restrict or object to processing or complain to a privacy regulator. We respond within applicable legal deadlines.
We cannot retrieve, change, or delete plans stored only on your device. See Your data for the app’s controls.
Security and children
The app relies on iOS application storage protections; the website uses HTTPS. No device or online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and any copies you export.
Life Compass is a general-audience planning tool, not a service directed at children. It does not create accounts or collect children’s planning content. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support address without appropriate permission, contact us.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy when the app’s practices change. The date above identifies this version. Any future feature that changes how information is processed will be described accurately and request consent where required.
